One of things I intend to do with the Temporal Investgations podcast is to do episode re-watches with my friends, while looking at each episode in the context in which it was filmed and when it aired, but also with a modern eye. Do the episodes still stand up? Were they good episodes then? But at the time of this positing, there are eleven different Star Trek shows that have aired (and more are in the works).
So I'm hoping to have your help! I've created a series of polls to help narrow down which are YOUR favorites so that the series we start with is the series you'll be most interested in. To help faciliate that process, I've created the polls on the Community tab of our YouTube channel? Why? Because YouTube will push community posts to more than just subscribers. It'll push it to people it thinks will be interested in the poll. You'll need a Google/YouTube account to participate this time, but as we grow we'll be able to try other was to get listener feedback and participation.
We'll do head-to-head polling in a double-elimination style to make it the fairest of the fair, and to make sure every series gets a shot at redemption. You can track the progress by viewing the bracket below.
For more methodology, we input all 12 different Star Trek series (we included Short Treks separately, as does Memory Alpha and Wikipedia) in debut order and randomized the order for seeding.
Vote Now In First Round
- Star Trek: Prodigy vs. Star Trek: The Original Series
- Star Trek: Picard vs. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
- Star Trek: The Animated Series vs. Star Trek: Enterprise
- Star Trek: Strange New Worlds vs. Star Trek: Lower Decks
Note: Star Trek: Short Treks, Star Trek: Discovery, and Star Trek: Voyager all have a first-round bye. Technically, SNW and LD are in the second round, but since they're head-to-head we're including them now.
Each round will be considered complete when the respective poll receives at least 100 votes.
Good luck and happy voting! Thank you for your help!
